Bio Oil For Acne Scars – How Well Does It Work?
Using Bio Oil for acne scars and other scar-like defects is reported to be effective for certain conditions. It is a skin care formula that claims to reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks.
It is marketed as a clinically proven product with a unique plant oil and vitamin formula (PurCellin Oil) that moisturizes and improves the tone of skin. It is hypo-allergenic and non-acnegenic. It is light and not greasy. The product is conveniently sold online in several sizes and is very reasonably priced.
Consumers report that using Bio-Oil for acne scars can be effective when the scarring is mild and not too deep. Some have reported that in order to achieve positive results, directions must be followed exactly.
It has also been used with some success on scars caused by scrapes or mild burns.
If using Bio Oil for acne scars and the skin is deeply pitted, or if the consumer had suffered from a serious acne breakout and/or chronic acne as a teenager, poor results have been reported.
