Lump under my armpit?

okay so i have a lump under my armpit & ive read on other people’s answers that it might be a lymph node or a cyst and etc. I’m not sure what it might be tho. It was at first kinda small but then i accidentally scratched it with a loofah sponge and i put antibiotic ointment and switched to vagicaine cream from ride-aid (i realized what its for afterwards. sorry)and i have no idea if it made it worse. it got a little bigger and i was was wondering what was happening…i have no medical/insurance & im 14 & my parents don’t pay taxes so i can’t apply for them ): im trying so many things to not go to the doctors, but i might be going this week if possible..do you guys know how long the lump will last or is?? will it leave a scar??? please help!
You did not tell if the lump is painful or not. At your age this is most probably inflammatory. Check your whole arm on the same side for any cut, boil, etc, and treat that. If you do not find any lesion in the arm and espcecially if the lump is not painful please do visit a doctor.
