The Lucky Bamboo plant is a tremendous addition to any home. Not only is it considered lucky but it is also known to attract good Chi, Sheng Chi, and when it is displayed and placed correctly, can help the flow of Chi to an area in your home you feel needs a greater presence.
One important point is how to display the plant. To obtain Sheng Chi with Lucky Bamboo one must make sure we include all five Feng Shui elements within the display. This is not difficult at all do to the nature of the bamboo plant.
Here is a breakdown of the five elements in our bamboo display:
*Earth – The rocks, pebbles, sand & stone that the bamboo grows in represents the earth element.
*Wood – The bamboo plant itself represents wood.
*Water – Water is used to nourish bamboo and will be in the container.
*Fire – Many times a red ribbon is tied to the pot or bamboo to represent fire.
*Metal – Display in a metal pot, glass pots are also considered metal element, if neither of these are used, then add a coin or metal figure to the display.
By having all five elements of Feng Shui in the display it will be easy to obtain Sheng Chi with Lucky Bamboo.
Now did you know the number of stalks your Lucky Bamboo plant possesses has a great significance in the benefits you receive form it? I will breakdown this aspect for you.
If the plant has an even number of stalks, then the plant is considered to have Yin qualities; if the plant has an odd number of stalks, then the plant is considered to have Yang qualities. Yang is considered to have the best properties.
The exact number of stalks in the plant is also important in obtaining Sheng Chi with Lucky Bamboo and to determine what cures to use it for:

It is very important to take good care of you bamboo plant. If the health of the plant fails, then it obviously cannot provide good Chi. It must remain healthy to obtain Sheng Chi with Lucky Bamboo.
Here are some things you must remember when caring for your bamboo plant:
*1 – You can grow bamboo in soil but the normal practice would be to grow it in a pot of water using stones, marbles, or rock in the bottom of the container to provide some stability and support to the stalks of bamboo.
*2 – Bottled water, filtered water, or even rain water is great for the plant. Fluorides and chlorine found in tap water can be extremely harmful to bamboo plants. Make sure the roots remain covered adding water as necessary (just enough to cover the roots) and changing the water every week to 10 days will certainly benefit the plant as well.
*3 – Indirect light is best. Bamboo will not do well in direct sunlight.
*4 – The best temperatures for growing bamboo is between 65 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Again, just as we do not want direct sunlight, we do not want any direct extremes in temperature so make sure the plant is not directly in front of an air conditioning or heat vent.
*5 – Plant food can be used but with no soil be sure to dilute it well.
If you maintain you plant in good health you should experience Sheng Chi with Lucky Bamboo and benefit from its natural beauty also.
