Exfoliating Body Scrub Questions
How can I exfoliate my skin (face) without body scrub?
I can’t use body scrub to exfoliate my face because it seems like I’m allergic to it. I get red spots/patches on my face from it and it won’t go away completely for weeks. I think I saw a “sand paper” kind of thing a while back. It’s like “sand paper” and that way you can exfoliate your skin. Anybody know?

i dont know about that sandpaper thing but i saw something in a magazine that you can make yourself with everyday things from your kitchen:
stir together 1/4 cup cocoa powder, 1/4 cup honey(or brown sugar), 3 tablespoons oatmeal powder(just chop up oatmeal with a knife until you get powder or grind in a blender), 2 tablespoons milk
**if your skin is sensitive or you are allergic to any of these ingredients be sure to do a test on a small patch of skin**
apply mixture to a clean face for 20 minutes,then rub off with a warm wet towel

How to get rid of ingrown hairs on legs/ dark spots?
I am african american and I have a medium skin tone/color. After I shave my legs my pores look black and within a day I get stubble. What type of body scrub should I buy or use to exfoliate my skin? Should I exfoliate before I shave? Do exfoliate when my legs are wet or dry? Do i exfoliate before or after I wash my body with soap and water? I read something on yahoo answers earlier about using hair conditioner regarding shaving instead or shaving cream? Does that work?
I use a razor to shave with skintimate cream.
****Attention: I don’t have ingrown hairs. lol. i thought i did but it don’t. I just found out its when you have hair growing underneath the skin causing bumps. I only have dark pores. How do i get reid of my dark pores?
Exfoliation will help as will using a good body lotion after you shave. You can exfoliate either before or after you wash with soap, doesn’t really matter. I prefer to use an exfoliation sponge which has a rough side that does the work and that way I can use what shower gel I want to. It does help to exfoliate before you shave; you’ll get a closer shave. And you just might be one who does have to shave every day. Using hair conditioner is ok, I can’t say it’s any better than using a shave cream or gel but it certainly is cheaper.
