Best known for her line of wedding dresses, Vera Wang is a fashion designer based out of New York. Born in 1949 to affluent Chinese immigrants, Wang first aspired to Olympic figure skating but found her calling while working as an editor for Vogue Magazine and, later, as a design director for Ralph Lauren.
