Neosporin First Aid Questions
I need info on first aid for a puncture wound from my cat’s hind feet.?
The wound is on the left wrist. It is making my whole hand sore and my fingers have difficulty moving. My hand is weak and cannot hold anything heavy. It aches also. I have been using Neosporin on it and washing it with soap and water.
It actually sounds like you may have gotten an infection. Get it checked out by a doctor – you may need antibiotics. Cats and dogs (especially if the run outside) can carry some nasty little bugs that will affect humans. in the meantime: if the wound is still open, hydrogen peroxide is a good, non-stinging disinfectant. If the wound is deep, it may not get all the way to the bottom.
