Neutrogena Rainbath Shower Questions
I’m not sure this is the correct category, but I’d like to ask other women whose skin gets dry in the winter..
What is /are the best bath product/s you’ve used when your skin gets dry during winter?
My skin is quite screwy (extremely sensitive everywhere, dry in some places but a few oily spots on my face) but, until now, I’ve always been happy with Neutrogena’s Rainbath and their bath oil. I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older, but, they’re really not working anymore. I still have dry, itchy spots 
What product/s would you recommend? I can’t really do expensive, but a tiny bit pricey is okay.
(I have lots of great lotions, but it’s the showering that’s killing me. And I can’t strip down to re-apply lotion 10 times a day lol.)

First off, look at the ingredients list on the lotions. If it says ‘aqua’, bin it. Water evaporates off of your skin, taking its moisture with it. (Just like licking chapped lips makes them worse.) You use it, it feels good, it dehydrates your skin, you use it again. Very clever marketing strategy, eh?
I do best when I avoid petrochems as much as possible — basically that means everything with ‘fragrance’, parafin or -bens in the list. (Why did anyone ever think that we’d benefit from slathering ourselves in ingredients derived from petroleum?)
Coconut oil is fantastic. So is pure cocoa butter and shea butter. Pure as a hunk of it in my hand, not mixed in with a dozen synthetics that will only irritate my skin. All organic of course.
If you use that sort of thing to feed your skin, you won’t need anything more in the shower than a simple soap.
I have two soaps, one is a 25p/bar generic from Morrison’s and the other is a liquid African black soap from akamuti (http://www.akamuti.co.uk/). A little goes a long with the second. Check out the site even if you’re not in the UK, it’s still really helpful for info.
Are you supplementing EFA’s (essential fatty acids) as well? I suspect that they help a lot as well. It makes way more sense to nourish our skin from inside and out.
