Oak Sumac Questions
Are you allergic to poison ivy, oak or sumac?
Do you have any “miracle” remedies?
No, but, my brother is. He went on-line and found some pills called…Poison Ivy Pills. They worked wonderful and dried it up in no time. Now, he takes a pill any time he might have been exposed to it, and it keeps him from getting it. Its made by Rhus Tox 4x. Its a homeopathic medicine.
Weird rash? Could it be an allergic reaction?
I started taking Amoxocillin for a Sinus Infection. I had never had a problem with it before. I started breaking out in this weird rash & everwhere I touched, it spread pretty much. And the nurse at school said that it was some kind of Poison Ivy/Poison Oak or Poison Sumac.
I think that was when I started taking the Benedryl [I could have been taking it before the Amoxocillin, but I can't remember].
And, I stopped taking the Amoxocillin. I ran out of Benedryl.
So, on Wednesday I bought some more Benedryl & now I am starting to itch all over my face again.
My Mom said that Benedryl is supposed to stop allergies.
What could this be?
The rash starts out all around my mouth & chin & makes my lips all chapped & raw [My face is raw too].
Please help!
But which medication could it be a reaction to? Amoxocillin or Benedryl?
Amoxocillin is a type of penicillin and you may be allergic to penicillin, You may have stayed on it for too long and have had a reaction to it, or some thing in the benedryl have combined with the Amoxocillin as some medicines don’t work well together, See your doctor and have an allergy test done
