I have the driest hands EVER. Any tips/suggestions?
Because of where I work, I feel like I have to wash my hands often throughout the day, but my hands have become disgusting and nothing seems to moisturize them. Regular lotion is a joke.
I’ve tried the following, but these don’t work for any more than 1 hour:
Burt’s Bees Banana Hand Cream
L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream
The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector
I don’t care about price as long as it actually works for at least a few hours. Any suggestions?
If your washing your hands often, invest in a very moisturizing liquid soap that won’t strip moisture from your hands.
Every time you wash them, make sure you put cream on right after. You can consider also getting a Hand Parrafin Treatment done once a week or so (at a salon), this is very warm parrafin wax that you dip your hands into, the heat penetrates the parrafin into your skin and the results are amazing….many places have this-salons, estheticians, spas-you can even buy one for yourself at home and do it every night.
Other than that try using the white cotton gloves and loading up on cream, maybe even vaseline on top of the cream-put the gloves on when you go to sleep. Try Gehwol Med Salve, it’s actually a foot cream but can be used on the hands, it’s made for people with cracked heels & is the most moisturizing cream I have ever used.
