Brilliant Bikinis For Different Body Types
While the one-piece remains in popular demand, no one can deny the allure of the bikini. With strong historic roots – dating back to Greek and Roman times no less – this scanty piece of clothing fell out of fashion for a while, only to return with a vengeance in the mid- 19th century.
Up until this point, two-piece bathing costumes tended to be rather modest, but in the 1946 French engineer Louis Réard created the smaller precursor to the modern bikini and caused scandal on the French beaches! Since then, bikinis have been worn by some of the world’s best loved stars and actresses, ranging from Rita Hayworth to Jessica Simpson.
With such a strong pedigree, it’s little wonder that all kinds of women are keen to slip into a bikini when the summer months come around – but finding the right bikini for your shape isn’t always the easiest task.
Luckily there are a number of easy guidelines to follow to make it that bit easier to get yourself to the beach. For example, if you’re small on top, you’ll want to look for bikinis that offer a little padding or detailing around the cups. You can also make good use of halter neck styles that allow you to tighten and avoid gapes and gaps. What’s more, you’re lucky enough to be able to wear bandeau tops.
On the other hand, if you’re bigger busted, you’ll find that bikinis that are banded around the midriff and have some good underwire support are best suited to you. Whether you feel your chest is too small or too large, mixing up bikinis can work really well – this means choosing flowered or bright fabrics for the areas you’d like emphasised and plain styles for the areas you don’t. Perfect if you’d like to keep eyes on your pert bum.
Using colour in this way can also be great for people with short legs, a solid bottom with a printed top will draw the eye upwards to make you look longer and leaner. If you’re already long and lean, then you’ve got just the right figure to show off boy-shorts bikinis and bikinis are a good way for you to break up a long torso. If you’ve got a bit of a tummy, a tankini could be just the two-piece option for you – it offers bikini style with a little more support.
No matter what shape you are, you’re sure to be able to find ideal bikinis. Keep all the body shape rules in mind and try on a gorgeous bikini in time for your next swimming session.

LOL this is so true…you forgot: breathe in, breathe out…never stop! Sleep every 16 hours or feel awful the next day, exercise, (if you are a girl) shave your legs every day…wax your eyebrows, paint your nails, fill in your roots ever 3 months….OH and floss once a day!
