The Shower-Cap With An Attitude
A few weeks ago, I was hospitalized at a VA facility. While there, the orderly made a statement that startled me. He said, “I’m going to give you a bath and wash your hair right there, in bed.” I was thinking, what, I could see the sponge bath part but the hair part I just couldn’t comprehend.
When he came back into the room he did indeed give me a sponge bath, and I might say, I needed it but I still couldn’t figure out how he was going to manage the hair part. I didn’t have to wait long, when he pulled out the slickest thing since sliced bread. The Rinse-Free Shampoo Cap.
Yeah, I know I sound like some sort of commercial but it’s not. I just had to let you know of my experience because I throughly enjoyed it. I am sure there may be other products around that are equal to this one but I don’t know about them This is the one I experienced, so this is the only one I am qualified to talk about. It is a product made by Comfort and it is called the Rinse-free Shampoo Cap. It’s one of those “I wish I had thought of that,” products – you know, that simple idea that made someone millions that you could have come up with. Cripe, always a day late and dollar short. I don’t sell the product, but maybe I should, after all, you should sell what you believe in, right?
I guess their normal market is in the health care field but I can’t help thinking how useful this product would be elsewhere. I could just see me out in the boat or hiking when I want a little pick-me-up. Hay what picks a guy or girl up better then a good hair wash. Right? Think about it, anytime you want to look your best or get refreshed what do you do? Wash the hair! Hay guys how many time have you called your girl and ask to go out when she came back with, “I can’t, I have to wash my hair?” Yeah, right!
Now guys, you have one up on her. When she comes up with the same old spiel, just say, “I’ll be glad to do that for you.” When she gets in the car, just slip that prewarmed cap on her head, (just like a shower cap) give her a good massage, (she’ll love it) and when you pull the cap off, just give her a short toweling and nothing but soft, fresh, clean hair. Yep, it’s that easy, and guess what, she’ll be putty in your hands – plus she’ll smell good and from then on you’ll be her hero. Ha, great! At last a product to make us guys look good.
Hay you busy business folks, now you can spruce up while on the way to the meeting. That’s right, right in the middle of the 5:00 traffic. Hay, you don’t need running water, or messy pans anymore. And how about those weekends on the camping trail? What could be better after a hard day’s hiking then a nice relaxing hair wash by your lovie-dovie. Man, it takes fooling around to a other level.
Take my word for it nothing gets you ready better for show while on the go. And in some places where water is at a premium, they don’t use any running water, you can turn off the faucet and wash the hair. I don’t know about you, but these caps struck me as the thing to have. Throw one in the car, for last minute spruce ups. Have one in the desk drawer for a refreshing before an important client meeting. Put one in the tackle box so you can refresh before starting off on the long drive home.
How about truckers? It seems like a nice sprucing up would be really refreshing after a long haul. Or, in the middle of the night, when the road in getting to your brain, slip one of these baby’s on and have a refreshing up-lift. I got to say it is the ultimate on the road or back trail hygiene package. And you bikers, what better refreshment after a hard days ride then a nice hair shampoo.
Let’s see can you pass up a hair wash that is Entirely self-contained, eliminates mess, no cleanup, or need to carry water and soap? It restores your energy while in the wilderness, on the road or in the office, without the fuss or mess.

Sponge Bath Questions
How soon can you bathe your newborn in a bath, rather than sponge bath?
Once the belly-button falls off, but is still raw…can I bathe my baby in his baby bath? Or do I wait until it is no longer raw looking?
You can once the umbilical cord falls off and the cicumcision healed if there was one. You can put some alcohol on the area to help it dry quicker. Even if it looks raw, once it fell off a regular bath is fine.
Does anyone know somewhere to buy good gluten free bread?
By ‘good’ I mean bread that tastes like bread and doesn’t resemble a bath sponge in both texture and taste!!!
The only one ive found that is any good is made by tesco.
But on saying that i can only eat it if its toasted.
