Warning whip installation
Warning whip installation is easy to do. With so many choices in the mounting brackets, connect and disconnect and temporary nature, it can be confusing sometimes. Here, it’s broken down into the basic information by light duty, heavy duty, heavy duty quick disconnect and heavy duty split pole. Let it be understood that with all of the installation procedures, a ½” hole needs to be made either in the vehicle’s body, or the hole of a mounting bracket will be utilized. When you receive ordered warning whips, drawings will instruct you even better, but here’s the basics:
Light Duty Warning Whip Installation
A light duty warning whip – on a golf cart, boat or RV – will most likely not endure the rough terrain that a heavy duty warning whip will, so it will not require as intense of an installation method. A half inch hole can be drilled through the body or bed of the vehicle, or a mounting clamp can be attached. The mounting bolt, thread side up is pushed through the hole and secured to the jam nut, with the compression nut slid up the fiberglass shaft and secured. Then, the whip is inserted into the hole in the mounting bolt, and the compression nut is slid down the shaft and firmly tightened onto the mounting bolt. This is a more permanent method, and if the fiberglass ever tears or is damaged toward the mount, the whip can easily be trimmed and sanded, and then re-inserted.
Heavy Duty Warning Whip Installation
When installing a heavy duty warning whip, the mounting base needs to be attached directly to the vehicle or a bracket by using a lock washer and jam nut, and the base must make ground contact when a power connection is made for a light on the whip. The installation is very similar to that of the light duty warning whip, with a mounting base screwing into a jam nut through the bracket or truck with a lock washer in place.
Quick Disconnect and Split Pole Warning Whip Installation
Once the mounting base at the bottom part of the warning whip has been installed, a quick release option and split pole version of the whip are available. This convenient method makes it easy to remove the whip when necessary and the split pole feature makes it possible to break down an eight, 10 or 12 foot warning whip and fit it into the cab of a truck. To install the quick disconnect warning whip, the debris cap tab will need to be pulled back on the female portion of the quick disconnect. The spring-loaded slide release on this will be pulled down while firmly pushing the Male quick disconnect part into the opening. Once inserted, the slide can be released. This occurs on the connectors of the middle of the split pole as well.
Once you have the mounting brackets attached or hole drilled into the vehicle, warning whip installation is simple.

Is it a waste of money to buy two abyssal whips in runescape?
okay so i have an abyssal whip but im afraid i might die with it and lose it should i buy another one just incase? would it be a waste of money? ….the whip i bought i bought it for 2.1mil but the price is going up right now its 2.3mil i think it might go up to 2.4mil in a day or 2..(btw im trying to ssave up for full dragon chain body 6mil)
If you have the money then go for it you can always sell it later if it is no use. But if you are struggling for money or only just make the cut then I would say your money can be spent better somewhere else.
