- 1. Did you know that a Muslim should use the best Attar, Perfume oils, Oil Fragrances, Musk oils that are available?
Imaam al-Bukhari (may Allaah have mercy on his soul) bring a chapter in his sahih “What kind of scent is recommended” and in there he bring the hadeeth that is narrated by ‘Aishah, that she said:
“I used to perfume the prophet (peace be upon him) before his assuming the state of Ihram, with the best scent available.“

- 2. Did you know that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to apply attar, perfume oil, oil fragrances, musk oil to his head and beard?
The sunnah of applying attar, perfume oils, oil fragrances, musk oil as Imaam al-Bukhari brings a chapter “To apply scent to the head and beard” and in there he brings the hadeeth of ‘Aishah the mother of the believers that she said:
“I used to perfume Allaah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) with the best scent available till I saw the shine of the scent on his head and beard.”

- 3. Did you know that it is sunnah to use attar, perfume oil, oil fragrances, musk oil specially for Friday (Juma’ah) and for all other occasions and its great reward?
Imaam an-Nawawi brings a chapter in his Riyad-us-Saliheen “Etiquette of attending company and sitting with companions” and in there he brings a hadeeth narrated by Salman al-Farisi that the Messenger of Allaah (peace be upon him) said:
“If a man takes a bath on Friday, purifies himself thoroughly, uses oil and perfume which is available in the house, sets forth for the Masjid, does not (forcibly) sit between two persons, offers the prayer that is prescribed for him and listens to the Imaam silently, his sins between this Friday and the previous Friday will be forgiven.”
[Riyad-us- Saliheen / V1/ H828 / Hadeeth Sahih]
Likewise Imaam Abu Dawud as-Sijistani (may Allaah have mercy on his soul) bring a chapter in his Sunan “It is Recommended to wear Taib (attar, perfume oil, oil fragrances, musk oil)“

Imaam al-Bukhari brings a chapter in his Sahih “Those who never refused Attar” and in there he bring the hadeeth narrated by Thumama bin ‘Abdullah that he said:
“Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) never used to refuse Taib (attar, perfume oils, oil fragrances, musk oils) and used to say that the Prophet (peace be upon him) never used to refuse (a gift of) scent.”

“The Taib (attars, perfume oils, oil fragrances, musk oils) for men is that whose scent is apparent while its colour is hidden (dark), and the attar for women is that whose colour is apparent, while its scent is hidden.”
[Sunan an-Nasa'i / V6 / H5121/ Hadeeth Sahih]

The Use of White Musk in Arabian Perfume practices?
A saudi once told me that white body musk is best applied to the entire body after bathing..then afterwards, put on some attar or oud oil. She said this makes the fragrance more powerful and intense.

well its up to each individuals way of appying cologne perfume.. Some peole like to layer the smells.. I personnally dont care, I just spritz a bit of perfume on after a shower, but I know some that layer everything from scented bath oil, to powder, to oils, perfumes, oud, etc.. To me that is a bit overdoing it..
my baby Musk turtle and his badly swollen leg? :[?
so my baby common musk has a bad leg. its swollen with a white pocket on the bottom.
on Friday i took him to the vet, the vet said it was just swollen tissue, gave my baby an antbiotic and sent him on his way.
the vet said to put him in salt water by himself [separate from my other two turtles] and he should be getting better in a couple of days.
yesterday his foot was really red where the white pocket was.
today his foot was even more swollen and his white spot creeped up onto his leg.
i’m really worried and my vets office is closed tomorrow
my mom said that i’ve only had the turtle for two weeks and he’s costing me a lot of money [i bought him for about $20 and he's cost me $63 so far for the vet]. plus i have two other babies.
is it really best to just let him go? i really don’t want to- he’s my baby! but he really is costing a lot :[[
I don't think you should let him go. If the salt water is not working then I think you should take him back to the vet when it is open make sure you keep watching him.
